1st Trans-Alps Rally, 1st july: STAGE 2 / KITZBÜHEL – SÖLDEN

The second stage of the Trans-Alps Rally was to be a journey from East to West, in the heart of Austrian Tyrol, between Kitzbühel and Sölden, with a course made of valleys and dotted with numerous winter sports resorts.

The first regularity test of the day was organized, in the rain, from the famous Krimml waterfalls, towards Königsleiten, a place known to be a training ground for specialists in Nordic disciplines.

The lunch planned not far from Innsbruck, in Mutters, and sounded like a moment of respite before resuming the road towards Sölden, reputed to be one of the largest ski resorts in the world, enjoying a “very high image” range ”, and surveyed by the no less famous Rettenbach Gletscher.

It didn’t take so long to organize a second regularity event on the road to the majestic glacier, the usual setting for the opening round of the ski season…
